Media blasting is the best option to remove old failed stain, paint or discoloring from wood structure. This process will slightly expose the grain in the wood allowing the new stain to penetrate properly into the wood. Prior to applying new stain we lightly sand entire area if needed to give a uniform finish.
The duration of a sandblasting project depends on the size and complexity of the surface to be cleaned. Landscaping and accessibility play a roll in this as well. However, most projects can be completed within one to three days.
